Why do all satellites go around the Earth in elliptical orbits instead of a circle?

A satellite can move in a circular orbit only if its speed will be exactly equal to the theoretically calculated value. In practice, the satellite gets the speed which is higher than calculated and it leads to a movement along an elliptical orbit.
